Sarrià Cemetery
Sarrià Cemetery has 2,200 graves in a total area of 5,600m2. The first writings that refer to this cemetery date back to 1922, a year after the annexation of Sarrià to Barcelona. However, we know that burials began there from 1835 and it was in 1849 that the enclosure was built, according to the projects of its architect Francesc Renat i Arús. This was the most important Catalan town planner before Ildefons Cerdà.
